After you click "Find Leads", the system kicks off a multi-stage pipeline. Understanding what's happening behind the scenes helps you plan your workflow and know when results are ready.
What to Expect During a Search
When you click "Find Leads", the search goes through several stages:
- Discovering URLs — the search engine queries are sent, and business websites are collected from the results. This stage typically runs in batches of 3 URLs at a time.
- Enriching Leads — each discovered URL is visited, analyzed for SEO issues, scored, and enriched with contact information. This is the most time-intensive stage.
- Finalizing — results are saved to your lead database, deduplicated, and made available on your dashboard.
How Long Does It Take?
A typical search processes 20–50 URLs and completes in 3 to 8 minutes. The exact time depends on:
- Number of URLs discovered — more URLs means more batches
- Enrichment complexity — each URL is visited, scored, and enriched with AI analysis
- API rate limits — external services may throttle requests during peak usage
The Progress Banner
During a search, you'll see a live progress banner showing:
- Current stage — discover, enrich, or finalize
- Batch progress — "Batch 3 of 12 · Scoring URL 2 of 3…"
- Leads found so far — updated in real-time
You don't need to keep the tab open. The search runs on LeadRanks' servers. You can navigate away, close the tab, even shut down your computer — the progress is saved and you can resume from the Find Leads page anytime.
